Some Muslim clerics have encouraged the faithful to trust in God in spite of subsisting challenges, as God has the capacity to turn things around positively.

The clerics spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN)  on the sidelines of the 2022 Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) Nigeria Ramadan Lecture at the NASFAT Centre, Aseese, Ogun State.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Imam of Falomo Lagos Central Mosque, Dr Tajudeen Adebayo, said: “As believers who rely on God, there are certain things we are not expected to be part of in the society especially when things were not going the way we want.

“Our communion with God should shield us from responding to things the way others do that could cause unnecessary tension in the society.

“Instead, we should take the issue or situation to God in prayer trusting him to make it better for us. Reliance on God depicts total submission to the will of God in every ramification,’’ he said.

Adebayo decried some unwholesome attitudes of the faithful especially when things were not going in accordance with their plan.

According to him,  fervent prayer and belief in God can improve such unwanted situations confronting mankind.
