Emmerdale fans beg for ‘hated’ character’s exit after Zak Dingle’s return

The return of Zak Dingle to Emmerdale has delighted fans of the ITV soap but they have demanded that it leads to another character getting the boot.
Zak, who has been played by Steve Halliwell since he was first introduced in 1994, has not been seen in the village since June last year.
The Dingle patriarch has been much missed by viewers and he returned to a family argument, which is not uncommon ground for his tribe.
Now that he is back, fans are hoping he will leave the door open for a sharp exit for Paul Ashdale, who has been terrorising his son Vinny.
Paul is a gambling addict but in a desperate attempt to keep it quiet, he has resorted to taking it out on his son, which has horrified viewers.

Liverpool Echo has reported thay when the official Emmerdale Instagram page shared a photo of Zak to mark his return, the comment section was flooded by demands for Paul to be written out, and fast.
One fan commented: “Love Zac but PLEASE get rid of Paul!”
Another added: “Yay! Zac’s back…..please get rid of Paul……Vinny come on out with it..tell Mandy!!”
A third agreed: “Please get rid of Paul.”
While another fan wrote: “Zac is back yayy get rid of Paul hate how he is beating poor Vinny & then telling Vinny its his fault that he beats him.”
Zak is not the only Dingle returning to Emmerdale, as Faith is making her long awaited comeback as well.
Opening up about her return, Sally said: “It’s wonderful to be back in Emmerdale again. From the first day I felt like I was getting a big warm family hug from everyone, it’s a really special show!”
Emmerdale Producer Sophie Roper added: “I’m delighted to see the return of much-loved character Faith Dingle to the village.
“A character bursting with fun, Faith’s certainly set to ruffle a few feathers and will test the Dingle’s loyalties like never before.”
