Film producer, standup comedian, and actor Ayo AY Makun has been announced as the face of the Season 3 of the Teachers Naija Reality TV Show.
According to Ubaka, the third edition will kick off on September 24, 2022, and end on October 23, 2022.
Speaking at the unveiling, Ubaka said the programme promises to be more educative and entertaining, with prizes worth N25 million up for grabs. He said the live show will feature 20 teachers as housemates (10 males and 10 females) and will be aired for an hour for the 30-day duration.
Reeling out some of the major criteria for teachers’ participation at the Show, Ubaka said all housemates must be Nigerians between 21 and 45 years old and must be professional teachers registered with the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) currently teaching in a school.
“We are very committed and ready to host the 2023 edition of the The Teachers Naija Reality TV Show. The show is on the path of bringing
back the lost glory of the teaching profession,” Ubaka said. He further said organisers of the reality show enjoy the close collaboration and backing of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Nigeria Union of Teachers, and the Federal Ministry of Education.
Also at the event were the Lagos State Coordinator, TRCN, Adaobi Ekwuno, and President, National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), Susan Akporiaye, who said the show is a welcome idea despite being relegated to the background, teachers are widely acknowledged as nation builders and destiny molders.
