A Seasoned Technocrat Aarebirin Hon. Princess Folashade Olabanji- Oba National Deputy Chairman and Executive Vice Chairman, Ikorodu LGA express her gratitude to the DG and all executives of the APC Professionals Councils for the valuable and important of the Public sensitization which take place at  Onigbogbon LCDA, Ikeja Lagos State.

While commending the Council for the initiative she acknowledge the actions over the years by the APC Professionals Councils to promote peace and stability before, during and after the upcoming 2023 election. she also thank all the participants involved in the organization of the important milestone that she is honored to be part of the occasion.

Speaking on her previous elections so far in Nigeria said that Nigeria has shown various degree of violence which continue to put stains and black spots on the Electoral Process in the Country peaceful . 2023 is another Election period and I have been asked to present an overview of ways and initiatives aimed at promoting peaceful polls in Nigeria She stated

Elections are important in Democratic Nations she urges the members to get their PVC for them to freely choose their Political Leaders right and then to hold them accountable.

To have a peaceful poll in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 General Election should not be left to INEC alone the masses and stakeholder must engage INEC on their plans for the peaceful poll as nothing should be left unchecked.

Having a peaceful election is not a rocket science; all variables that have to do with the election must be check and put into consideration.

It’s also important for the electorates to votes and wait for their votes to be counted and announces as stated by the INEC.

She also emphasis that there are standards that government needs to meet before during and after an election to ensure that an election is free and fair.

The following standards clearly states an ideal free and fair poll.

1.  Registering to vote there is no doubt that Nigeria citizens who are already 18yeard of age and resides in the country is no doubt to register to vote.

2. Voters have access to reliable information on electoral processes

3. Citizens should be free to run for  government offices.

4. Voting is free from electoral fraud .every eligible voters should be able to vote only one time an ineligible voters should be prevented from voting

5. Ballots should be counted accurately and correct results should be announced .

Lastly she said her great hope is to have a peaceful poll in 2023 and also appeal to everyone to please maintain peace during and after the elections.
