Noni Madueke choose England ahead of Nigeria

PSV Eindhoven forward, Noni Madueke, has signified his intention to play at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar with England.

Madueke has represented his country of birth from U15 to U23 level but has yet to hand a call-up into the three lions.

Reports claimed that Nigeria wants him to follow the footsteps of Alex Iwobi and represent the Super Eagles.

Speaking to The Sun, the forward distanced himself from the reports and stated that he believes in his ability to break into the England set-up.

“I’m very confident in myself. In my head, there are no limits to what I can do.”

“I don’t know what’s going to happen in the future. But I will always back my ability.”

“You never know how football goes. I try to take every day as it comes. My bread and butter is my club.”

“If I’m winning games with my club, if I could be at the World Cup in 15 months, it would be great.” he said.

Madueke was born in England to Nigerian parents, but he has never been to the West African Country.
